Pavan Kothari

My name is Pavan Kothari, your Regional Advisor Consultant with New York Life Investments. Born in Queens NY, I was raised as an avid NY sports fan. I believe I have quite a unique upbringing, as English was my fourth language. With my parents being of Indian descent, I was fortunate enough to learn Gujarati, Hindi, American Sign Language and Spanish as a child. After moving to South Jersey for my high school years, I attended Rutgers University, where I studied Economics, Psychology and Political Science. I recently relocated to Columbus, Ohio with my diva dog, Echo.

In my spare time, I love to try new foods, travel and attend sporting events. I am also a big advocate for the hearing-impaired community, as my father is deaf. In my time at New York Life, I’ve been able to build an assistive technology app that further assists in communication by creating a lifelike avatar that uses sign language from verbal cues.

I’ve had the pleasure of working at New York Life Investments for the past 10 years and believe that building friendships and trust is the first step to a successful partnership. I take pride in offering a consultative approach, strong service model and providing solutions that best fit an advisor’s goals and needs. I’ve obtained the CFP® certification to better serve and understand the needs of the partners we work with.
